Volunteers required to test the Scotland’s Census new website

User Research and Testing for the new Scotland’s Census Website

This research is now closed.

National Records of Scotland (NRS) is working alongside Storm ID to explore the needs and requirements of those who may be interested in census data. People are at the heart of this work, and we want to create an improved experience for users of the Scotland's Census website.

As part of our ongoing user research and testing for the new Scotland’s Census website, we are running an online activity to review the usability of the latest design. The activity involves completing a number of short tasks and should only take 10-15 minutes. We are using a tool called Useberry to run this activity. You can take part in the activity here https://www.useberry.com/usertest/g0FgLhbW/.

If you experience any difficulty using the tool, please get in touch so we can support you. If you have any questions you can contact Storm ID at [email protected].

Research Sessions in October

We are also looking to run a number of usability tests in October with those who use census data as part of their job. All research sessions will be conducted remotely, and each session will be a maximum of 60 minutes long.

If you are interested in taking part or would like to find out more, please contact [email protected].
