Health Board Area 2014

The 14 Health Board Areas (HBAs) are responsible for local health care in Scotland. Following a change in legislation in 2014, the Health Board Area boundaries were re-aligned to follow the combined area of each local authority that they serve.

They report to the Scottish Government and are exact groupings of Council Areas (as they were in 2011). A Council Area to Health Board lookup is available from the 2011 Census Indexes section of the NRS website.
