Scotland’s Census 2021 Question testing

Planning for Scotland’s Census 2021 is underway. As part of this, NRS have asked ScotCen Social Research to conduct a survey to test new and revised questions that may be included in Scotland’s Census 2021. The aim of the survey is to see whether the new and revised question are acceptable, easy to complete and produce reliable data.

From Wednesday 15 November, around 3,500 randomly selected addresses in Scotland will receive an invitation letter from ScotCen to take part in this study. Taking part will involve completing a short online questionnaire.

All information provided will be treated in strict confidence under the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you have received an invitation letter, please follow the instructions and complete the questionnaire. This is your chance to tell us what you think.

If you have any questions about the questionnaire, you can contact the ScotCen office (scotlandscensus@scotcen.org.uk) or phone 0808 168 1356

Any media enquiries should be sent to Scotlandscensus@nrscotland.gov.uk.
